Are you ready to buy the new Kindle Fire? Join the crowd! Half a million people have all ready jumped onto what the experts are calling "The inexpensive rival to the iPad." With all of it's powerful benefits, it's no wonder. But it isn't perfect. Below we will explore the pluses (and a few minuses) of this new tech addition and show you the best place to get it.
What benefits does buying the new kindle fire have?
7 Inch Touchscreen
Let's start with the number one crowd pleasing benefit,
1) Super Affordability -
At many hundreds of dollars less than the iPad, that in itself is enough to grab the attention of every savvy shopper, who wants the most for their money.
2) There's a ton more content -
The sheer volume of content offered by the kindle Fire outstrips the iPad by miles. Not to mention, the ability to rent instead of buy your entertainment. A big plus.
3) Free storage -
All Amazon content is free to store. That's right, ALL of it. Compare that to the puny 16 gigs of iPad and it's really no comparison.
4) Lighter and Easier to work with -
It's 7 inch screen is the perfect size for your movies and games without being too heavy to hold for hours on end.
5) Free Amazon Prime Membership -
Kindle Fire comes with a free month of Prime, right out of the box! That means immediate access to their extensive entertainment library. 1000's of books to borrow, including many on the Best seller list, instant streaming of TV and movies - over 10,000! You can start streaming a movie on Kindle Fire, then pick up right where you left off on your TV. Very Cool.
But even the best products have a few drawbacks, and making sure you understand them will make sure you get your hands on exactly what you want.
So, let's look at the con's...
7" screen -
Personally, I find this to be a plus, due to the easy of use and the lighter weight. But when compared side by side
to the 10" iPad, some may like the larger display. If you don't have to hold it for very long (ex. if you have a stand for it), then you may decided you like the larger screen better.
No microphone or lens -
If you're big into video chat or taking photos with your larger devices, then this may be a draw-back for you
and something to consider. (Although, I don't know of many people who hold up their 10" screens to try to snap a shot.)
No 3G -
With most people on the free Wi-Fi networks that are just about everywhere these days, downloading their movies, books and music, the 3G shouldn't be an issue. But again, if your into the video chat, you may want it.
The Kindle Fire has all your favorite apps and games, 17 million songs and you can get all of your web mail in a single inbox.
