If I were to describe the perfect laptop, it would be "fast, stylish, powerful, has a long battery life, lots of storage, super portable and affordable". Well the new Asus UL30A-X5 is all that and much more. Most computer users would do fine with the functionality of a netbook. Think of this new Asus model as a netbook on steroids. It has a powerful Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a large 500GB hard drive, a full-sized keyboard, 4GB of RAM, a HD display and a long battery life (up to 12 hours on one charge).
Despite being an extremely functional laptop, the Asus UL30A-X5 is also extremely stylish. I especially love the black model. Instead of having the usual glossy black casing, this laptop has a sleek brushed metal surface that makes it look really expensive and exclusive. It is also extremely thin and light, measuring just 0.98 inches in thickness and 3.74 pounds in weight. They keyboard has 'chicklet' style keys that looks really good and feels very comfortable to type on.

Because of that, I really appreciate the Asus IceCool feature on this laptop model that keeps the palm rest cool even after hours and hours of use.
