Samsung has released its new mobile set, the Samsung Champ in June, 2010. The full touch screen mobile phone is priced good and targeted at the younger age group. The quad band GSM hand set has an attractive 2.4 inch touch screen. The TFT resistive touch screen is the main attraction of the phone, and it supports 256 thousand colors. The Champ has an impressive pixel resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The interactive TouchWiz Life User Interface on the mobile is easy to navigate, aesthetically pleasing and fun to use. The hand set features the auto rotate property of the User Interface, which is achieved by the help of Accelerometer sensor installed on the phone. The new mobile from Samsung is ready to work on the GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 network platforms, but is unable to integrate with the 3G network.
The mobile weighs only 80 gm and has the dimensions of 96.3 x 53.8 x 13 mm. It is comfortable to carry and flaunt to impress. Exactly, what the young generation carves for. The Samsung Champ includes vibration alerts as well as the MP3 ring tone alerts. Latest tunes or songs can be downloaded to be used as the ring tone. The stereo speakers on the Champ don't only let the user enjoy his or her music aloud but also enable to attend a phone call hands free. The 3.5 mm audio jack is provided on the mobile. The Samsung Champ has 30 MB of internal memory and a microSD slot that can entertain external memory up to 8 GB. The phone book on the Champ can store up to 1000 contacts, photo call and call records. The mobile hosts GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and the USB connectivity.

The phone has a useful camera mounted on its back. The 1.3 MP camera has the resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels. The camera supports video recording along with the standard still photo shoot mode. The video type is QCIF at 15 fps. The battery on the Champ is a normal Li-ion 1000 mAh battery that supports a stand by time of 666 hours and a talk time of 12 hours. The phone is loaded with games and more games can be downloaded. Stereo FM radio with RDS is surely to impress the music addicts.
